Copyright Policy

The following copyright policy and charges come into effect from January 2004, and replace all existing charges. The policy and rates will be reviewed annually.
Policy
SOLIDS TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL LTD is the copyright owner of material and works produced by or on behalf of SOLIDS TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL LTD.
No person may publish or make use of any material produced by the SOLIDS TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL LTD (except under the provisions of the Copyright Act 1968) without the prior written permission of Solids Technology International Ltd.
Permission, if granted, will be granted for once only use. New editions, reprints and revisions will require a new application and fee.
Appropriate acknowledgement, as set out below, will be a condition upon which permission is granted. The recommended acknowledgement is:
“Reproduced by permission of Solids Technology International Ltd, Ireland ”
There will generally be no copyright fee charged when the proposed publication is to be produced by non-profit organisations solely for the purpose of private study, research or for educational purposes (in accordance with Section 200 of the Copyright Act).
Requests by publishers or individuals outside the education sector will be assessed separately and permission will be dependent on the material requested and the proposed use. A copyright fee will generally be charged when the proposed publication is intended for profit and/or sale for the purpose of profit.
SOLIDS TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL LTD will not allow the use of its name or the expression STIL in any manner which:
A. would lead or be likely to lead to a belief that there was some association or affiliation with or sponsorship or approval by SOLIDS TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL LTD of the particular bodies or publications making use of such name or expressions

B. would constitute a breach of the rights of Solids Technology International Ltd in its name and those expressions.
Any organisation wishing to include in their publications or advertising, produced for the purpose of profit or sale, reference to the expression SOLIDS TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL LTD.
