Our Factory

Solids Technology International Ltd was established in 1974 in Dublin, Ireland to meet the future demands of environmental protection and preservation. Initially the company developed a high-performance belt filter dewatering solution. The company has grown rapidly since then and has been driven by innovative demands from the water treatment sector.

Today there are over 600 Solids Technology belt filter systems throughout the world and we have captured a leading position within the marketplace for clean and odour proof, dry, automated, high-performance dewatering and thickening systems with either belt systems or centrifuges. Solids Technology has forged partnerships with leading international service providers and continues to seek professional partners around the globe. More recently we have developed a strategic partnership with Biwater International, South Africa, and we have licensed technology to USA and Brazilian partners.

Our Unison brand was chosen because it symbolises the requirement for environmental protection and our collective roles in achieving this. There are 5 Unison models to suit all sizes of application. In 2002, the company was acquired by Kent Process Technologies Ltd. Based in Wexford, Ireland the company was relocated to the Kent site during this year. We have since added new technologies to the portfolio and continue our Research and Development programs to bring new and innovative technology for the future of environmental protection and preservation.
